This page covers 415porter.com: what the site collects, and which outside services receive anything you type into it. There is no account to make here and nothing on this site asks for a card number.

The contact form

The contact form is handled by Web3Forms. The name, email address, subject and message you type are sent to Web3Forms, which passes them on as an email to Porter. That is the whole path. If you would rather not use it, write to porter@415porter.com directly.

The mailing list

The signup box on the home page is an embed from Laylo, and it is Laylo that receives and stores what you enter. Laylo runs the list and sends the messages. Signing up is optional and every message has an unsubscribe link.

Booking a lesson

Lesson booking is handled by Cal.com. Its calendar is not loaded until you press "See lesson times", so nothing goes to Cal.com if you never open it. Once you book, Cal.com receives the name, email address and time slot you choose, and takes the payment for the session through its own payment provider. Card details are never entered on this site and never reach it.

Analytics

Google Analytics runs on some pages of this site and sets cookies in your browser. It is used to see which pages get visited and roughly where visitors come from, in aggregate. It is not used to build a profile of you or to advertise to you.

PostHog runs on every page and sets nothing in your browser: no cookie, no local storage. It receives the page you are on, the page you came from, what you click, how far you scroll, and your IP address, which it uses to count visitors for the day and to work out a country. It is not used to build a profile of you or to advertise to you.

Embeds and files loaded from elsewhere

• YouTube. Video thumbnails come from YouTube when the page loads. The actual player, and the cookies that come with it, only load after you press play on a video.
• Google Fonts serves the two typefaces the site uses.
• Brandfetch serves some of the sponsor logos at the foot of the home page.

Loading a file from any of these means your browser makes a request to them, which necessarily includes your IP address. That is how the web works, and it is the only reason those requests are made.

The shop

Anything you buy is bought on shop.415porter.com, which is a separate storefront with its own privacy policy and its own checkout. No order or payment information passes through this site.

Getting your details removed

To have your email address taken off the mailing list, use the unsubscribe link in any message. To have anything else removed, write to porter@415porter.com and say what you want deleted.

Changes

If the services listed here change, this page is updated and the date at the top changes with it.
