CapCut audio for music videos
What CapCut does with sound, where it stops, and the two-app way to post a video that sounds like the room.
The short version. CapCut’s audio tools are built for clips and voices: volume, fades, noise reduction, voice enhancement, beat sync. On a video of someone talking, that is usually enough. On a video of someone playing, it is not, because the problem is the mix, not the noise. Cut the video in CapCut, export it, then mix and master the sound in 415 Studios as the last step.
What CapCut does with sound
As CapCut’s own pages list it, checked October 2026:
- Volume and fades: per clip
- Reduce noise: background noise out
- Enhance voice: tuned for speech
- Isolate voice: keep the vocal or remove it
- Beat detection: cut to the music
Where it stops on a music video
Noise reduction and voice tools keep a voice and lose everything else. On a music video, everything else is the music. A phone recording of a performance needs a mix instead: EQ to cut the boxiness, compression to bring the playing back up, and a loudness stage so the app you post to doesn’t turn it down.
Cut in CapCut, mix in 415 Studios
- Cut the video in CapCut: trims, captions, text. Leave the original sound on it.
- Export from CapCut to Photos.
- Import that video into 415 Studios. Tap Studio, or open the rack and set the modules yourself.
- Pick TikTok, Reels or Shorts (Pro) and export. The finished video saves to Photos.
Mix last. A loudness master is the final step, and any volume change after it undoes it.

When CapCut alone is enough
Talking, vlogs, voiceover, a clip with a song laid on top. If the sound you care about is a voice or a track you didn’t record, CapCut is built for that and 415 Studios doesn’t add much.
Questions
Is 415 Studios a CapCut alternative?
Only for the sound. It does not cut video, add captions or add text. Most people use both: cut in CapCut, mix in 415 Studios.
Can I fix CapCut audio on iPhone for free?
Yes. The one-tap Studio enhance in 415 Studios is free, with one export a day that carries a small wordmark.
Should I mix before or after editing in CapCut?
After. Cut first, then mix and master last, so nothing changes the level once it is set.
Will the sound go out of sync between the two apps?
No. 415 Studios never detaches the audio from the video, so a video exported from CapCut stays in sync.
Why does my music sound thinner after noise reduction?
Noise reduction is built to keep a voice and remove the rest. On a music video the rest is the music. Turn it off and mix instead.
