STUDIO Privacy Policy

STUDIO is made by Porter Bliquez. Your music and video never leave your phone. The only personal information I ever receive is what you choose to type into the mailing list prompt. STUDIO also sends an anonymous count of how far people get through the app, which is described below and carries no identifier of any kind.

Your audio and video stay on your device

All processing happens on your phone. That includes mixing, mastering, the film grades, and stem separation, which runs a model on the device itself. Your recordings are never uploaded, never sent to a server, and never seen by me or anyone else. STUDIO works with no signal at all.

The mailing list, which is optional

After you export a mix, STUDIO may ask whether you want to hear about new presets and sample packs first. If you enter an email address or a phone number there, it is sent to me and added to that list. Both fields are optional and the prompt can be dismissed.

Nothing else goes with it. No name, no device identifier, nothing about your projects, and no advertising or tracking identifiers. There are no accounts and no ads anywhere in STUDIO, and no third-party analytics service is used. The only usage information collected at all is the anonymous count described in the next section.

An anonymous count of how far people get

Once a day, STUDIO sends a short set of numbers describing how far this install has got: whether the app has been opened, whether a video was imported, whether an export was started, and whether the Pro screen was shown. It goes to 415porter.com and nowhere else. No third party is involved and no analytics product is used.

Nothing identifies you or your phone. There is no account, no device identifier, no advertising identifier, and no cookie. Your IP address is not recorded. Each report is added straight into a total for that day and no per-device record is kept, so once it arrives there is no way to tell one phone from another, including by me. It contains nothing about your audio, your video, your projects, or your settings.

It exists for one reason. Most people who install STUDIO never try Pro, and Apple only tells me how many downloaded and how many subscribed, never what happened in between. Without this I cannot tell which screen people give up on, so I would be guessing at what to fix.

Who handles that information

Both process it on my behalf so those messages can be sent. It is never sold, rented, or shared with anyone else, and it is never used for advertising.

Text messages

If you give a phone number, you are agreeing to receive occasional marketing texts about new releases. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any message to end them, or HELP for help. Giving a number is never required to use STUDIO or to buy STUDIO Pro.

Getting your information removed

Every email has an unsubscribe link, and replying STOP to a text ends the texts. To have your email address and phone number deleted outright, write to porterbliquez21@gmail.com and I will remove them.

Deletion requests are handled within 30 days. Contact details are kept only while the list is running, and are deleted if the list is ever shut down. The anonymous counts are not covered by this, because there is nothing in them to find: they carry no identifier, so no record of them can be traced back to you, by you or by me. They are deleted automatically after six months regardless.

Wherever you live, you can ask what contact details I hold for you, ask for them to be corrected, and ask for them to be deleted. There is no charge and I will not treat you differently for asking.

Photos access

STUDIO asks for access to your Photos library for one reason: to import the video you pick and to save your finished export back to your library. That access is handled by iOS and the files stay on your device.

Purchases

STUDIO Pro subscriptions are processed by Apple through the App Store. I never see your payment details. Apple's handling of your purchase is covered by Apple's own privacy policy. You can manage or cancel your subscription anytime in your Apple Account settings.

Children

STUDIO is not directed at children under 13, and I do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has given me an email address or phone number, write to me and I will delete it.

Changes

If a future version of STUDIO ever changes any of this, this page will be updated first and the effective date above will change.
